The Laws of God are Pure
The Laws of God are addressed to the people of God who have been redeemed by His Grace and Power. We are studying a book by Max Lucado, “Experiencing The Heart of Jesus.” This material makes you ask yourself, ‘Do I really know what true commitment is about?’ I am reminded of Psalm 139:23- 24 (KJV):” Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.”
There are times we get so caught up with life that we might forget how God has called us to operate as Christians. Despite David’s various wrong moves, he was honest with the Lord. There are times we need to take a soul-searching repentance break. The Laws of God are designed to provide guidance toward living a fulfilled abundant life. Some consider the Laws of God to be restricted; however, to live without the structure of the Laws of God brings disaster in our lives. The laws of God are principles and structure to live a successful, healthy, and enriched life.
“Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your words. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore, I hate every wrong path” (Psalm 119:97-104).
