All Creation is God's Doing

This morning I had some things that I needed to get off my chest. Which is a term
that means some things were really bothering me. Only God could do what needed
to be done but the interesting thing was God was giving me solutions that I never
thought of. That’s just like God; when you talk to Him he really talks back. That is
what prayer is, a two-way private conversation between God and yourself.

I love the Old Testament character, David. He wrote 73 chapters in the book of
Psalms and perhaps more. You see all his emotional needs, adversities, times of
discouragement, as well as his praise to God for His many answered prayers. There
is no way you can out-do God with the answers in and for our lives.

David was called a friend of God and had a revelation of His nature and power.
Psalm 19 in particular shows the glory of God displayed through the world He
created and the Word He spoke, or through what we call natural and special
revelation. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of
his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display
knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard” (Ps.
19:1-4). My grandma used to say, “Who wouldn’t serve a God like that?” In my
own life I have found her comment to be true.

This praise chapter continues: “Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words
to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is
like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run
his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat.

“The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are
trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving
joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are
sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure
gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your
servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors?
Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not
rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May the
words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O
LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Ps. 19:5-14 NIV).

Folks, the truth of the matter is that God created everything and controls
everything. Scientists can’t explain the fullness of God’s creation without
concluding that God truly is in charge of it all. We cannot pursue life's ultimate
purpose until we realize God created us to discover and declare His glory (1 Cor.
10:31).
