Fruit People
“You will know them by their fruits…. Even so, every good tree bears good fruit,
but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree
bear good fruit…” (Matt. 7:16-20 NKJV).
People experience our fruit by seeing us in action. They watch our character, level
of integrity, honesty, and the list goes on. Do we live in such a way that draws
people to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? When we allow the Holy Spirit to
build our character, there is no telling what can happen in our lives!
What type of fruit does the world see when they see you in action?
In life we make choices which determine the course we follow. By choosing to
walk in the Spirit, we will mature, and this will produce the fruit of the Spirit in us.
Let the path you pursue become manifest in the fruit you show.
“The works (fruit) of the flesh are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish
ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the
like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christs
have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us
also walk in the Spirit” (Gal 5:19-26 NKJV).

1. Real Fruit People: These believers look good and are growing because of a
strong and healthy relationship with the source of nutrients. They live in
obedience to the Father and His will. They love to hear His voice and have
given Him freedom to order their steps and to speak into their lives.
2. Chameleon Fruit People: These believers don’t want to seem strange or
different. They are in the business of blending in, so their attitude is to look
and be like everyone else. “Let Jesus stay hidden.”
3. Glass Fruit People: These believers may look beautiful but they have
allowed life’s sensitivities to break them. They are too shattered for a loving
and forgiving heart to free and restore them.
4. Wooden Fruit People: These believers leave splinters wherever they go.
With hearts that have become hardened by hurt and pain, they stay ready to
prick anyone who gets too close.
5. Plastic Fruit People: These believers look good but have no substance
because of a shallow relationship with the Father. They go by their emotions
and make everything else more important than God. “Surely God
understands that life is full of busy schedules.”
