It’s a New Day

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

You may ask yourself or others, “What is there to rejoice about with everything going wrong? Chaos is everywhere I look in the world.” It is important to realize despite the craziness happening around us that God saw fit to bless you with another day. The very breath in your lungs is reason to thank the Lord for the blessings of life itself.

So, I encourage you to:

1. Wake Up!! Decide to have a good day. Psalm 118:24

2. Dress Up!! The best way to dress up is to put a smile on your face. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. 1 Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so HE must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. Prov. 13:3

4. Stand Up!! Stand for something or you will fall for anything. Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up!! I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13

6. Reach Up!! For something higher. Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up!! Your prayers. Philippians 4:6

“If you can? Said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes” (Mark9:23 NIV). Today is an Up Day—Rejoice!
