Jesus Forever Alive (Part 1)
Many Christians have just celebrated the true meaning of Easter. However, as we celebrate, let’s remember the high price Jesus paid for our redemption and keep in perspective the great sacrifice that was made for our freedom. We look around and see people picketing for freedom and rights. In Christ we don’t have to picket the streets for our freedom nor our rights. Jesus Christ already paid the price for our redemption at Calvary, God accepted His sacrifice through the resurrection, and our rights have been established by the Word of God.
This morning on my computer I turned away from reading about so many deaths and unnecessary killings as I thought of Christ who paved the way to a better life in Him. Death has never been the end for the believer, but simply a gateway to eternal life in heaven. Life has all its ups and downs, its many twists and turns, with all its questions of ‘why.’ For Christians the answers are found through prayer, study of God’s Word, and community with like-minded believers.
That does not mean sticking your head in the sand like an ostrich and becoming oblivious to current events. As believers we all have been called to minister to others about Jesus’ love. God has called us to be influencers and change agents for Christ by sharing a better way of life with everyone we meet in our environment. What we are doing is announcing His love for all mankind with no respect for persons.
Our warfare is not with one another but with the Devil (the enemy against all that is good) that causes chaos in our lives. Until you know life is Warfare you will not know what to pray for. “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV).
