Foundations of Spiritual Warfare pt 3

Spiritual strength begins with knowing God. It is possible to know about God without truly knowing Him. But when we spend time in His Word, meditate on what He says, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us, our understanding of God grows—and so does our ability to trust Him.

We live in a world filled with distractions. Our minds are constantly moving from one thing to another, leaving little time to stop, reflect, and listen. But God invites us to slow down and “chew” on His Word. Don't simply read Scripture and rush to the next thing. Sit with it. Think about it. Ask God what He wants you to understand.

Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. God isn't interested in simply making us look like everyone else. He wants to transform us from the inside out.

And as our minds are renewed, our trust grows.

Faith is not a leap into darkness. It is a step of trust based on knowing the One who is leading us. When we know God, we can trust Him even when we cannot see how things will work out.
